The BDI is everywhere
6 March 2005
The BDI campaign has as its logo an EYE which is everywhere - monitoring MPs.
Monitoring is the basis of Democracy -
The Civil Service run the Country.
The Government monitors the Civil Service to ensure they do not bully the people - they also implement the mandate upon which they were elected.
The Houses of Parliament - primarily the House of Commons monitors the Government. It also makes the law! Unless the government commands a majority of the House it cannot get its legislation through and it cannot make laws itself.
The people monitor the House of Commons - individually MP by MP - because the people are at the top of the pile - they are the Sovereigns and they pay MPs.
This is the balance of power which is vital to maintain the civilized, democratic 'Government by Consent' Britain we all believe to be indestructable, but which is close to destruction.
The BDI (logo) represents the people watching MPs to ensure they are working exclusively in the interest of the British people - from whom they take a salary!
Please download your favourite poster and put it in a window near your front door - when they come canvassing your candidates will get the message!
