Tory candidate repudiates British Parliament
27 June 2006
Bob Neill, a lawyer, refuses to commit himself to representing constituents of Bromley and Chistlehurst in a British Parliament.
Mr Neill, a lawyer, is content for the British Parliament to remain in effect an assembly, subordinate to various supra-national, unsackable bodies, who, in the words of one Government Minister 'Compel us' to impliment actions detrimental to the well-being and security of the British people.
He is content to delegate the governance of Britain to others. He is content for Britain to have no parliament but just a series of powerless assemblies. Mr Neill, like John Prescott, wants a salary but no job.
